Venom can be made and may save lives
If you are bitten by a venomous snake, your best option is antivenom, which has been made since Victorian times. Snakes bites kills 94,000 each year worldwide.
Without antivenom, over 200 people will die in day. South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa are mostly hit with snakebites.
According to WHO, "Bites from venomous snakes can cause severe paralysis that causes your prevent breathing to slow down, bleeding disorders to lead to fatal hemorrhage; irreversible kidney failure; and severe local tissue destruction that can cause permanent disability and may result in limb amputation."
When you get bitten by a venomous snake, make sure to go to the hospital or call 911.
The only way the antivenom would fail is if the wrong antivenom is used on the wrong species.
