One-weekend kids consignment boutique event to be held in Tallahassee

Starting on April 26, 2019, and ending April 28, 2019, there will be a boutique event featureing kids quality clothes and other items in Tallahassee, Fla. The event will be located at the Donald Tucker Civic Center from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday, and 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Sunday.

According to the Tallahassee Democrat, "One week Boutique, co-owned by Jennifer Taylor and Sara Barber, began with 50 consignors at the cottages at Goodwood Museum & Gardens and later moved to the former Dillard's wing at the Centre of Tallahassee mall."

The team started this business 13 years ago and now has 700 consignors and receives nearly 60,000-70,000 items each spring. All cosigners earn 65 to 70 percent of the sales of each item and receive an option of donating their items if they're not all sold.

According to Taylor, her favorite part of the event is the end when she gets to stock the last of the items into charities.

The event will include items like strollers, car seats, pack and plays, walkers, furniture, bikes and racks of clothing. All items are in good condition and mostly brand new. The goal of the organization is for shoppers to "get the most of their money."

According to Taylor, "shoppers range from expecting mothers, new and seasoned parents and grandparents. More than 3,500 shoppers flood the three-day event."
