National Hamburger Day 2021
Each year, a national holiday known as "Hamburger Day" takes place on the 28th of May. As we know, hamburgers are America's favorite sandwich, but the invention of the hamburger has been claimed by so many that there’s only one real origin: Hamburg, Germany.
There are many different ways to cook hamburgers. They can be grilled, cooked in a frying pan, and can even be baked. Next, you have your condiments and other ingredients to put the burger together, such as bread, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, and our most enjoyed sauces: ketchup and mustard.
White Castle is the oldest food chain to ever sell burgers. The restaurant was founded in 1921. Even though they are said to be first among the fast-food chains, Mcdonald's is the world's largest burger chain and one of the best-known brand names.

Fun fact: A casino in Carlton, Minnesota cooked the world's largest hamburger at 2,014 pounds on September 2, 2012.
