Guidance department holds thankfulness event during lunch

A display in the guidance office shows what CHS students are thankful for this year

With Thanksgiving around the corner, on Wednesday, November 17, the CHS Guidance Department set up a booth during lunchtime for students toexpress what and whom they were thankful for.

Similar to the recent Unity Day celebration at CHS, students who participated earned candy and positivity stickers for sharing what they were thankful for on a colorful card or "leaf." The goal was to create

Lead Guidance Counselor Mrs. Brittany De Plato told the Red & Black that the goal of the event was to provide students an opportunity to show what they're thankful for and share it with the CHS family. The bulletin board shown above was created using students' leaves, and the cards were distributed to those individuals that the students were thankful for, including special teachers.
