Florida woman arrested in police car chase
A Florida woman was arrested after leading police on a wild car chase that ended with her car flipping several times as she tried to run away. According to the DeLand Police, “it all started before 11 a.m. Monday, when they tried to stop the driver who ran a stop sign.” The van’s driver did not stop at all and was spotted by the Volusia County Sheriff’s office helicopter driving erratically on International Speedway Boulevard, according to FOX News.
A helicopter caught footage of the vehicle which later on reported that the van was stolen in Orange County. The driver tried making a U-turn and ended up losing control of the vehicle. The van rolled over twice before landing on its side.
The sheriff’s deputies and DeLand police officers approached the white van and pulled the female driver out of the van. She later was identified by the police, and her name is Sarah Yurman.
She was injured in the car incident and was taken to the Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach.
