Film Preview: 'A Quiet Place Part II'
"A Quiet Place Part II" is an upcoming horror/thriller film set to be released on May 28, 2021. It will be available locally at AMC Tallahassee 20, CMX Cinemas Fallschase, and Regal Governor's Square theaters on Thursday, May 27, 2021, starting from 5 p.m. to later times at all locations.
The movie franchise started when director John Krasinski decided to direct a movie based on silence, suspense, and gore. He is an American actor, director, producer, and screenwriter who has earned four Primetime Emmy Award nominations and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. He's best known for playing the iconic character Jim on NBC's long-running comedy "The Office."
It started as a plot about a father and mother who struggle to survive and raise their children in a world inhabited by blind monsters with a strong sense of hearing. The film was written by Bryan Woods and Scott Beck. "A Quiet Place" premiered on March 9, 2018, and was released in the United States on April 6, 2018, by Paramount Pictures. Krasinski also starred in the original movie along with actress/real-life wife Emily Blunt.
The "Quiet Place" franchise is Krasinski’s biggest success behind the camera since he started directing. He previously explained that he was not a “horror guy." However, he found his footing as a director with a scary movie. His initial motivation was to make a movie for his family. When “A Quiet Place” ended, Krasinski’s character, Lee Abbott, had died while protecting his family from the monstrous aliens that had overtaken Earth more than a year prior. His wife had also just given birth to a new Abbott in the middle of an alien attack.
According to IMDB, the film will be rated "PG-13 for terror, violence, and bloody/disturbing images." Parents are advised to watch with younger audiences.
