FFA currently holding annual fruit sale, order today online

The FFA chapter is currently holding its annual fruit sale from October 13 - November 13. Everyone is welcome to order all they want - regardless of where they live - and this year orders will be directly shipped to your home. All you need is the QR code or the link to the website.

The shipping charge is $9.95 per item, and all fruits will come from the Florida Indian River Groves company located in Vero Beach, Fla. Two of the most popular orders each year are the "Citrus Delight," which includes 12 navel oranges, grapefruit, and mandarins at the price of $40, and the "Triple Charmer," which includes 12 navel oranges, grapefruit, and apples, also at the price of $40.

According to FFA advisor Mrs. Robbie Harrison, this year's fruit sale is "a great option for gifts to family members who don’t live in Cairo," since orders can now be delivered anywhere in the Continental United States.

This fundraiser is held annually and has been going on “for quite a while at CHS,” according to Mrs. Harrison, who has been the FFA advisor for four years.

Funds raised will help pay for FFA national and state dues, travel costs, and scholarships for the week-long Summer Leadership Camp in Covington, Ga.

When ordering, you will have to select a FFA member who will receive the credit for the sale; if you need assistance, you can talk to one of the members or email Mrs. Harrison at r.harrison@grady.k12.ga.us.
