CHS Dance classes perform fall recital for students

On Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, Cairo High School Dance students performed a Fall Recital for select classes during fourth block. The performance lasted from 1:45 until the end of the school day and was held in the auditorium.

Students danced to the following songs during the performance: "Stay" by Rhianna, "Upgrade You" by Beyonce, "Take Me to Church" by Hozier, "Say You Won't Let Go" by James Arthur, "Countdown and Diva" by Beyonce, "Amen" by Amber Run, "When the Party's Over" by Billie Eilish, "Say My Name" by Destiny's Child, "Bruises" by Lewis Capald. The students also danced to a variety hip-hop remixes.

Bre Walden, Keahja Jones, and James Rodden performed self-choreographed solos.

Dance teacher Ms. Hannah Harrison told the Red & Black, "This will be entertaining for all, not just the dancers." She also asked everyone to come out and "support the arts."

Keahja Jones said that she loves dancing with Ms. Harrison and her classmates and that Dance classes at Cairo High School are the "best dance experience."
