CHS announces Homecoming King and Queen for 2019
On Monday, November 4, the contenders for the Cairo High School 2019 Homecoming King and Queen were announced at the Homecoming Assembly. Throughout the week, the young men who were nominated raised money; whichever student raised the most would be crowned Homecoming King.
Then, on Friday, November 8, the King and Queen were announced. The King was announced at the Pep Rally as J.T. Andrews, with Tanner Collier as the runner up and Eli Pyrz coming in third place.
The Homecoming Queen was announced during a special halftime ceremony at the Homecoming football game later that evening; this year's Homecoming Queen is Faith Tise.
J.T. Andrews is a member of FCA, CYC, National Honor Society, and Student Council. He is also a member of the Cairo High School Baseball team and plans to go to the University of Georgia or Florida State University to become a physical therapist.
Faith Tise is a Cairo High School senior and member of the Cairo High School Band, SAGE, and National Honor Society. She is also a member of the Cairo High School Soccer team and a Majorette. She plans to attend Georgia State University or the University of West Georgia and major in Nursing.
