Flint RiverQuarium, Chehaw Park and Zoo host fall events for kids

This fall, the Flint Riverquarium and Chehaw Park and Zoo in nearby Albany are hosting several fall and Halloween events for families and kids, including an upcoming trick-or-treating event and the annual Boo at the Zoo. Both are free for Artesian Alliance members. Go with the family and check out all the fun they have waiting for you.

There will be trick-or-treating this year for kids along the Flint River Trails

On Friday, Oct. 22, 2021, from 5 - 7 p.m.. a fun trick-or-treating event for your little ones will be held at the Flint RiverQuarium and Throntateeska museum, as well as along the "Candy Path" or Riverfront Trail.

You can purchase admission at either location.

Boo at the Zoo is an annual event held in October at Chehaw Park and Zoo designed for parents and kids to have fun and bond together. This year's event will be held on Saturday, October 30 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

This event is described on the Artesian Alliance website as "a not-so-spooky Halloween event," so it should be appropriate for all audiences.

Anptjer special fall event for little ones called "Butterfly Breakfast" was recently held at the Flint Riverquarium in nearby Albany.

It was held on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, from 9 - 10 a.m. This event was designed for children aged two to five and their parents.

According to a Facebook post by the Flint Riverquarium, the "morning adventure" included a "light breakfast, a butterfly story, craft, and a visit to the butterfly house."
