Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter, and actor. The pop singer was born on Feb. 1, 1994, in Redditch, United Kingdom.

Before Harry Styles was famous, in 2010 he auditioned for The X Factor as a solo contestant, singing Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely." He advanced through many rounds and was eliminated at boot camp. In July 2010, Simon Cowell mentored a group that consisted of Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik. The group was trying to figure out a band name, and Harry Styles suggested the name One Direction to his bandmates and they all agreed to keep it. The group eventually reached The X Factor final and finished in third place. The band got popular with their hit "What Makes You Beautiful," but after a few years together they disbanded.

On June 23, 2016, Harry signed with Columbia Records as a solo artist. "Harry Styles" is his debut studio album; it was released on May 12, 2017, through Columbia Records and his own label, Erskine Records.

In 2017, Styles made his acting debut in "Dunkirk," a war drama. The film won three Oscars.

Gucci brought Harry Styles on for a high-fashion campaign in 2018 in London which featured a very 1970s-inspired fashion. Also in 2019, Harry Styles was a co-chair of the Met Gala alongside Alessandro Michele.

He released his second album titled "Fine Line" on December 13, 2019.

Regarding his second album, Harry Styles told Vogue:

"I think with the second album I let go of the fear of getting it wrong and…it was really joyous and really free."

In 2020, he was on the front of the December issue of Vogue, making history by being the first man to appear solo on the cover of the American magazine. For his cover shoot, the singer was wearing a light-blue dress paired with a black blazer designed by Gucci, which was really daring and bold of him. It was honestly very inspiring to see him changing the definition of masculinity.

Harry Styles said in his cover

"It’s like story. anything—anytime you’re putting barriers up in your own life, you’re just limiting yourself. There's so much joy to be had in playing with clothes. I've never really thought too much about what it means — it just becomes this extended part of creating something."
