Review: Jesse Snider's song "Alive"

Jesse Blaze Snider is an American comic book writer, voice-over actor, TV/radio host, and rock musician who wrote a song called “Alive” from the movie “Reach Me.”

According to IMDB, in the film "Reach Me," “A motivational book written by a mysterious man quickly gains popularity, inspiring a group of people that includes a journalist, his editor, a former inmate, a hip-hop mogul, an actor and an undercover cop to re-evaluate their choices and decisions by confronting their fears in hopes of creating more positive lives.”

Having watched the movie, I think it is pretty good. It’s uplifting, and it gives you a good feeling after watching it. There are different stories, different lives, and problems. The movie has a lot of themes and real- life situations.

The song, itself, explains a lot about the movie and the meaning of itself. Jesse is a really good singer, and just listening to the song, it really makes you think. The song tells how we should be grateful that we’re alive.

Snider talks about how he almost died and that he never knew how great it is to just survive because some are not that lucky to be able to walk away from death. He didn’t understand how he got so lucky, and because of that, he has changed.

I think what he is trying to say is that you never know how much you love something or someone before almost or actually losing it. He was given a second chance, and now he's going to take advantage of the little things. The song really speaks truth.

Here is a video so you can read the lyrics and listen to the song:
