76ers, Clippers agree to trade
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Clippers have agreed to a trade. The Clippers traded Tobias Harris, Boban Marjanovic, and Mike Scott to Philadelphia for Wilson Chandler, Mike Muscala, Landry Shamet, first round picks in the 2020 and 2021 drafts, and two second round picks in the 2021 and 2023 drafts.
Calling the trade risky would be an understatement for Philadelphia in acquiring Tobias Harris. This summer he is an free agent who may not want to resign with Philly. The 76ers may have their pockets hurting this summer if Tobias Harris and Jimmy Butler both demand the max amount of money. Philly should hope the two players will accept signing for less than the max.
But then again, it was a great move by the 76ers, as Harris is having a career year, averaging 20.7 points and 7.9 rebounds with an efficient 41 percent from three-point range. Harris is also shooting 50 percent from corner threes. At 6' 9", Harris is big enough to handle small defenders on switches and quick enough to attack heavy- footed big men. Harris is comfortable in catch-and-shoot situations. He gives the 76ers another end-of-game shot creator. But on the bright side, Philly has made their team even better and arguably the best in the Eastern Conference. Harris is a great fit to the starting lineup alongside J.J Redick, Jimmy Butler, and Joel Embiid
Philly has made their team even better and a much more of a threat to the Eastern Conference than before.
