Thomasville teens involved in fatal car crash on HWY 319
On Jan. 29, 2019, at around 7:45 a.m. on HWY 319 just south of the intersection on Mercy Road in Thomasville, Ga., two local teen drivers collided while travelling north.
Levi Knop, who attended Thomasville High School, was killed after his truck traveled off the road and struck a tree.
18-year-old Anna McBride's sedan also traveled off the road; she was immediately taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
"Troopers say a truck, driven by Knop, and a sedan were both traveling north when they collided, causing both drivers to lose control of their vehicles" according to www.wctv.
It appears that the sedan made contact with the truck first, but the Georgia State Patrol's Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is continuing to investigate.
