NF releases new song, "Why"
Nathan John Feuerstein, known professionally as NF, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter who has released a new song called “Why.”
The music video for "Why" was directed by NF, himself, and Patrick Tohill, and it became NF’s third single release in 2018 when it came out in June 2018. "Why" isn’t on the album "Perception"; it was released as a non-album single. However, it’s possible it would appear on NF’s fourth studio album.
According to SongMeaning+Facts.com, “Why…glorifies his high level of success but at the same time questions the ultimate meaning of it all. Furthermore he ponders over the direction his life is going and indeed the validity of popular concepts in society, such as success.”
The website also reports, “NF mentions one of his biggest hits, 'Let You Down,' in the track. He talks about how it went triple platinum and brought him success.”
Basically, the track "Why" catches fans up on Nate’s life since the track "Let You Down."
There are many themes in the song. NF talks about his feelings of not being a part of the mainstream, as well as his pent-up aggression and depression as made evident by symbolism used in the music video. A few of the song’s verses express NF's insecurity, as well.
Ultimately, the song has a joyful premise but a painful confusion.
