Dairy Queen's releases new Valentines day specials
This coming up Valentine's Day, Dairy Queen is bringing a Valentine Day Blizzard that tastes like a chocolate-covered strawberry. According to Delish, "If you've got chocolate-covered strawberry taste on a fast food budget, Dairy Queen just launched a Valentine's Day Blizzard for you."
Dairy Queen's new blizzard is called the Dipped Strawberry Blizzard. Dairy Queen has teamed up with chocolate giant Ghirardedelli to make it an "extra-awesome" treat. Delish says, "It's the signature vanilla soft serve blended with chunks of chocolate and real strawberry topping."
The Dipped Strawberry Blizzard sounds like a combo of two of their other blizzards, Brownie Batter and Strawberry Cheesecake. Dairy Queen expects an extreme success with their new blizzard.
According to Brand Eating, Dairy Queen will sell the treat for the whole month of February.
However, this isn't the only treat Dairy Queen will be adding to its menu for the upcoming holiday. The company is bringing back the Cupid Cake; and this time, the company will be adding Ghirardelli chocolate to the cake. According to the Dairy Queen website, "The Cupid Cake and Blizzard Treat are available at participating DQ and DQ Grill & Chill locations nationwide for a limited time."
According to Delish, the Cupid Cake is a giant, frosted version of the V-Day Blizzard. The cake is made into a heart-shape with chocolate and strawberries on top. This cake is red velvet and feeds two.
According to Maria Hokanson, Executive Vice President of Marketing for American Dairy Queen Corporation, "Ghirardelli and DQ are the quintessential sweet pairing. If you want to treat your yourself, or a loved one, to something extraordinary this Valentine’s Day, you can have your choice of our new Blizzard Treat or perfectly shareable Cupid Cake, or both."
