Valentines Day paint party to be held at Queen of Arts Studio

Ms. Maria Vasquez, art teacher and sponsor of the Art Club at CHS, opened up her studio, The Queen of Arts Studio, earlier last year. Constantly hosting paint parties there for the Art Club, she makes sure they are fun for all ages, so no matter how old you are, you can have fun and laugh with your friends or just express your feelings toward art.

Valentines Day is coming up, and Ms. Vasquez has a plan for that: she's hosting a paint party on Valentines Day, Feb. 14, 2019. The paint party starts at 6 p.m. and ends whenever everyone finishes their pictures. Instead of the usual canvas with either something to challenge yourself or the opportunity to free paint whatever you like, she'll be having cookies to paint. However, if you prefer to just paint on a canvas, she will have that, too.

Ms. Vasquez has hosted many kinds of paint parties since she has joined the Syrupmaker staff, including many holidays throughout the year. She also hosts a week-long art summer camp for kids in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Ms. Vasquez is passionate about art and loves helping those who share a love for the subject, as well.

The paint parties she holds are just a small way to include those people in the community who are not able to take her classes for reasons of school or simply the fact that the person might have graduated.

If you want to join the Art Club and Ms. Vasquez in a Valentines Paint Party, go to The Queen of Arts Studio on Broad Street on February 14.
