Film Preview: 'The Kid Who Would Be King'
"The Kid Who Would Be King," is an upcoming film that is being released on Jan. 25, 2019.
In this film, a kid named Alex finds a mythical sword. What he doesn't known is that once he pulls the sword from the stone, he releases creatures from another realm. However, he also releases warriors whom he joins to defeat the "wicked enchantress Morgana."
The main actor in the film is Louis Ashbourne Serkis, who plays as Alex. Serkis has appeared in films such as "Alice Through the Looking Glass" in 2016. Some of his most recent films include "The Current War" and "Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle."
The director of this film is Joe Cornish, is an English comedian, television and radio presenter, film director, writer and actor. Some of his previous films include "Ant-Man" in 2015 and "The Adventures of TIntin: The Secret of the Unicorn" in 2011.
"The film will be rated PG because some scenes may be to intense for young viewers," according to IMDb. There are also may be scenes with blood and gore, as well as violence in some scenes.
There have been a number of other King Arthur-related films in recent years, including 2004's "King Arthur" and "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword," which was released in 2017. "Legend of the Sword" disappointed critics and lost money on its expensive budget.
