Deborah Adams and Kimberley Perkins publish new book, "Waypoint"

Deborah Adams directs the Human Resources department for a defense contractor, and by night, she works with co-author Kimberley Perkins to write thrilling adventures with tons of romantic tension.

Now, Adams and Perkins have released a new book called “Waypoint,” which was published Dec. 1, 2018, by Rocket City Publishing.

Waypoint is a Young Adult/Science Fiction book that is 357 pages long. The premise of the story is that the lights have been out for three months and that society is falling apart into chaos. To elaborate, there is no electricity, no heat for the cold days, and no air conditioner for the hot days. There is no power for the ovens to cook food on nor refrigerators to keep things cold and frozen.

According to Goodreads, “Teenage tech-genius Simon Harper and his team of fellow gamers have been searching for the cause of the outage since it went down.”

Simon and his twin brother, West, are often at odds, until the key of restoring the power drops into their hands. They would have to risk everything and join forces to bring it back.

In addition, according to Goodreads, “Mysterious deaths and disappearances are piling up, and unknown enemies are everywhere. As the brothers make their 500-mile journey to Waypoint they’ll have to decide who they can trust, and which secrets can be told.”

The book is based on themes of strength, knowledge, and risk-taking, all of which will be needed if the brothers will be able to restore the power.
