2019 Suicide Prevention Symposium to be held at the Roddenbery Memorial Library
The Foundations of Connectedness 2019 Suicide Prevention Symposium will be held on Sept. 19, 2019, from 1 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. The price is free.
According to Eventbrite, the event will include the following:
A proclamation signing by Cairo Mayor Booker T. Gainor for Suicide Prevention Month (1:00 - 1:15 p.m)
A respect speaker (1:15 - 1:30 p.m)
A mental health provider panel (1:30 - 2:45 p.m)
Networking and resource sharing (2:45 - 4:00 p.m) And a free Question Persuade
Respond (QPR) suicide prevention gatekeeper training for the first 30 people to sign up (4:00 - 5:00 p.m).
It will be organized by the Department of Behavior Health and Developmental Disabilities Region 4 Office, Georgia Pines Community Service Board, and STEP Up Grady (Suicide Prevention Coalition).
