2019 Cairo Christmas Parade theme revealed
According to the Thomasville Times, the “Cairo-Grady County Chamber of Commerce are already preparing for this year’s Cairo Christmas Parade" and have decided that the theme of this year’s Christmas parade will be “Christmas Under the Big Top.” If the name didn’t give it away, this year’s parade will have a circus theme.
According to the Thomasville Times, the parade will be held on December 5, 2019, starting at 7 p.m.
The chamber’s goal is for the participants to be more creative than last year, even though there were great results with the theme of “Christmas in Paradise.”
“In true Chamber fashion we wanted something over the top,” assistant chamber director, Courtney Salapa King reported to the Thomasville Times.
There has even been an idea suggested that we should hang the lights on Broad Street, where the parade is held, as if we are in the circus.
The Christmas parade is held every year and is a fun time for people in the community to come out and watch people on their highly-decorated floats and so much more. It’s also a great time for kids because some floats even throw out some candy, and every year the last entry is the firetruck with Santa Claus on it.
In just a few more months, everyone will be able to enjoy our “Christmas Under the Big top.”
