Rams still winning

This past Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018, the LA Rams continued their winning ways and defeated the 49ers. The score was 39-10.

The Rams defense had their best defensive performance of the season. This season, the Rams' opponents usually have been able to keep games interesting against the defense. The win over San Francisco showed the league how dominant the defense can be when all cylinders click.

Rams Head Coach Sean McVay said “they were great from start to finish.” The Los Angeles defense had four takeaways and seven sacks. What was even more impressive was that LA scored 17 of their 22 points in the first half off turnovers.

Linebacker Corey Littleton had a game he will never forget. Littleton had 10 tackles, two sacks and three for a loss. On special teams, Littleton blocked a punt which led to a safety. He garnered praise from his teammates and coaches. Littleton has been stellar this season on defense and special teams. According to ESPN he leads the Rams in tackles with 58.

Although LA may not have had crazy offense stats, they still got the job done. Quarterback Jared Goff threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns. He hit his open receivers with no mistakes. Todd Gurley scored three touchdowns even though he wasn’t too productive. Gurley had 86 yards from scrimmage in total. Robert Woods led the receivers with five catches for 78 yards.

The offensive line is arguably the best in the league. The offensive line has the great ability to clear defenders in the passing and rushing attacks. Goff barely had any constant pressure, even though he was sacked twice.

Next week, the Rams play the Packers. This matchup may look uneven on paper, but playing a great quarterback in Aaron Rodgers will be a good matchup
