Review: Georgia vs. Austin Peay State


The Georgia vs Austin Peay State game was on September 1, 2018, at 3:30 p.m. and took place at the Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga.

In the beginning of the game, Austin Peay kicked it off to the Bulldogs. They managed to gain 76 yards but were forced to go for a field goal, which they missed. Later, Rodrigo Blankenship kicked a 34-yard field goal and gained the lead for the Bulldogs, according to ESPN.

Austin Peay could not stop Georgia's offense on the next drive; it was just too overwhelming for them. The Bulldogs gained control of the football and were able to score a touchdown.

With a 10-0 lead, the Bulldogs began to become confident heading in to the second quarter. The bulldogs got the ball and another touchdown after D'Andre Swift ran eight yards for a touchdown.

In the start of the second quarter, the Bulldogs recovered the ball after Austin Peay fumbled it. "D. Robertson then ran for a 72-yard touchdown and humiliated Austin Peay," according to ESPN.

In the second half of the game, Mecole Hardman ran for a 59-yard touchdown, giving the Bulldogs a 38-0 lead. Neither one of the teams scored after that play in the quarter.

The last play of the game was Issac Nauta catching a 12-yard pass, ending the game for the Bulldogs with a 45-0 victory for their first game of the season.
