CHS announces new Dance Club

Along with the new Dance classes, this year CHS is happy to announce its first-ever Dance Club.

The difference between the Dance Class and the Dance Club is that the Dance Club will be doing more performances. The goal of the Dance Class is just to learn the technique of dance and not really perform.

The Dance Club already has a few performances in the works.

  1. Monday, September 24, 2018: Homecoming Assembly

  2. Saturday, December 15, 2018: Fine Arts Holiday Celebration (date is subject to change)

The theme of the upcoming performance at Homecoming will be "The Greatest Syrupmakers,” which is inspired by a movie called “The Greatest Showman.”

The Dance Club was also invited to perform at the Homecoming Assembly.

Members will be starting practice next Thursday, September 13, 2018, starting at 4:30 p.m.

For those who can’t make it to the practice on Thursday, Ms. Harrison says, “If you will be absent from any rehearsal, please let (her) know ahead of time so (she) will know to save you a spot in the formation.”

Those who are coming to practice need to make sure to have their permission slip signed, or they will not be able to attend practice. There is also a $25 fee that will pay for all your costumes. Also, Ms. Harrison wants members to join her Remind group app.
