British trawlerman airlifted after shark attack
According to The Guardian, a 21- year-man by the name of Max Berryman was air-lifted and taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro after being bitten by a shark on Sunday, May 13, 2018.
Berryman was approximately 110 miles off the shore of the Isles of Scilly,107 miles northwest of Lands End. A Coastguard search and rescue helicopter from Newquay was sent to airlift Berryman, who was a crewman from a fishing vessel; he had suffered bites from a shark that was caught in the fishing nets and brought on the boat.
Berryman was left with minor injuries to his upper thigh area. According to The Guardian, Berryman said that he was happy that he didn't suffer bites in any other areas.
