Fun recipe: Rainbow grilled cheese

Unicorns, rainbows, and all things yummy! Those are three things no one can resist. Imagine a grilled cheese sandwich but with a cheesy filling in an assortment of colors. No need to imagine any longer, because the recipe is actually quite simple.

Three simple ingredients are needed: any type shredded cheese, bread, and food dye. I'm sure you can already guess how to create this absolutely scrumptious and adorable meal.

  • Depending on how many colors you want, separate the cheese proportionally into bowls. (I used 6 colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple.)

  • Add in your selected dye colors to the cheese.(You may have to mix certain food dyes to create the color you wish.) And mix until the cheese is completely covered in the color.

  • Place now-colored cheese in straight rows along the bread. To created a more mixed and blended transition between colors, mix a few cheese pieces of the meeting hues together in between the colors. Then place theother piece of bread on top of this slice.

  • Put the sandwich on a buttered pan, and set the heating level of your stove to a medium-high setting, and flip when necessary.

  • Once the cheese is melted and the bread is a light, golden-brown color, take the grilled cheese off the pan, and enjoy the cute and delicious sandwich.

The first time I made this rainbow grilled cheese, I absolutely fell in love with it. I have since made it multiple times. I like to spread a thin layer of Mayonnaise across the slices of bread before I put the cheese on and cook it.

Even if there is no pot of gold at the end of this rainbow there is a full tummy and a happy you.
