49ers linebacker arrested on domestic violence
A San Francisco 49ers linebacker has been charged with domestic violence from an incident back in February 2018.
Foster was arrested on February 11, 2018, on suspicion of “domestic violence, making criminal threats and possession of an assault weapon,” according to USA Today.
The incident involved Foster’s former girlfriend; after the incident with Foster, she was left bloody, bruised, and with a ruptured ear drum.
Foster was also charged with three other felony counts: forcefully attempting to prevent a victim from reporting a crime, possession of an assault weapon, and misdemeanor possession of a large capacity weapon magazine.
Foster is arranged to go to court in San Jose, Cal., on April 12, 2018, said the district attorney’s office.
"Our focus is on holding accountable those who hurt their intimate partners. Our Office handles between four and five thousand domestic violence cases each year. We only hope that this case illuminates the tragic regularity of the rest," deputy district attorney Kevin Smith told USA Today.
