Beyonce and Jay-Z announce new tour

On Monday, March 12, 2018, Beyonce and Jay-Z officially announced their new tour that begins this summer. The tour’s name is “On the Run II,” which is “a play on their 2014 tour's name, On the Run, where they also played stadiums.” The tour kicks off on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, in Cardiff, United Kingdom, ABC News reports.

Starting Wednesday, March 14, 2018, for Beyhive and TIDAL subscribers, tickets will be available for presale in the U.S. at 9 a.m, according to ABC News. Citi is also having a presale that day starting at 12 p.m. Multiple sources report ticket sales will be available to the general public on Monday, March 19, 2018. On Vivid Seats, the cheapest tickets available for purchase start at $117, and the most expensive tickets for purchase are $5055. Prices vary depending on the website used.

In the United Kingdom and Europe, there are 15 different cities on the tour. The first North American tour date is July 25, 2018, in Cleveland. In total, the tour will “run” through 21 cities in North America. On August 25, 2018, the tour will stop in Atlanta at the Mercedes Benz Stadium.

A post briefly appeared on Ticketmaster and Beyonce’s Facebook page last week for a July 30 "On the Run 2" date at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field; ever since the post, fans have been waiting for the official tour announcement.

Variety reports, “the tour is presented by Live Nation Global Touring in association with Beyonce’s Parkwood Entertainment and Jay’s Roc Nation.”
