The shock on the season finale of 'The Bachelor'
Part one of the season finale of "The Bachelor" aired Monday, March 5, 2018. This episode focused on the break-up between Arie Luyendyk Jr. and his fiance, Becca Kufrin. Luyendyk Jr. then gets together with the show's runner-up, Lauren Burnham.
Former "Bachelor" star Sean Lowe and Jennifer Tisdale thought the breakup should've happened off-camera. Lowe posted the following message on Twitter:
I don't like this one bit. Shouldn't have filmed. #thebachelor

After only six weeks of being engaged, Arie broke up with Becca to get with the show's runner-up, Lauren Burnham. After seeing this finale, fans agreed with the celebrities and became angry because he filmed the break-up on camera.
“I wish everyone out there could meet Arie, because he is a nice person,” said Jason Mesnick, in the studio. Mesnick is the only other Bachelor who dumped the winner to go back to the runner-up. “This show can really mess somebody up. Unless you’ve been through it, you just don’t get it,” Mesnick said Tuesday night, according to the Washington Post.
While Arie and Lauren will live their "Happily Ever After," ABC has announced Becca as the new Bachelorette.
