Co Yo vegan yogurt recalled for containing dairy
Co Yo is a yogurt company that was founded by Henry Gosling, who was born and raised in Fiji. He is the grandson of Captain Harry Gosling, who was a shipwrecked mariner from England. The company originally launched in 2010.
Co Yo only makes vegan yogurt but recently had a recall due to some yogurt containers containing milk. Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018. Co Yo announced that traces of dairy were found in all four flavors of coconut milk yogurt.
“We are devastated by this, especially as being dairy-free sits at the heart of everything we do,” the company said on Twitter.
Anybody who bought the product with "use by" date of March 16 can contact the store from which they bought it from for a refund, according to Fox News.
Co Yo said the the "naughty" ingredient was given to them by a third-party supplier in the U.K.. Since then, the company has cut ties with its supplier.
The company sells its products in the U.K., U.S., Australia, New Zealand, and Britain. Only Britain's was tainted with the milk.
“We would like to apologize to all our customers for any concern this may have caused,” Co Yo wrote.
