Video Game Preview: 'A Way Out'

"A Way Out" is an upcoming action-adventure game that is being released on March 18, 2019 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The game is based on two inmates who plan and escape prison. Once they break out, they have to keep moving and avoiding other authorities.

The two inmates, Leo and Vincent, have to slowly and cautiously move through town to town in order to escape. As they get deeper into the game, the game gets more difficult.

The game can be played on local split-screen or online co-op; it has no single player mode. One player takes control of Leo, and the other Vincent; in order to be successful, you and your partner must work together and cooperate. For example, in the prison escape, one must distract the guard while the other finds a tool to escape.

The game developers are Hazelight Studios, led by Josef Fares. The game is directed by Fares and is meant to feel similar to a movie through its characters and cuts scenes. "A Way Out is going to surprise people with its innovative co-op gameplay and the way it tells an emotional story solely through these two characters," according an executive from EA, who produced the game.

One interesting fact is that you and your friend could play with only one copy of the game; your friend wouldn't need a separate copy of the game.

The rating is now pending but will soon be released. "The rating is targeting a rating of M for mature or above," according to International Gaming Network.
