Movie Preview: 'Rampage'

"Rampage" is an upcoming Fantasy/Science fiction movie being released on Apr. 20, 2018. The plot of this movie is based on a primatologist bonding with a silver back gorilla, but the concept for the movie is based on the "Rampage" video game series which began as an arcade game in the 1980s.

The game "involves three giant monsters–a gorilla, a lizard and a wolf–that wreak havoc on major cities and landmarks across North America," according to Deadline.

The primatologist is Davis Okoye, who is played by Dwayne Johnson. Johnson is known for starring in many movies. His most famous movies include the following: "The Fast and the Furious" series, "San Andreas," "Central Intelligence," and 2004's "Walking Tall."

The director of this movie is Brad Peyton, who has directed several action/adventure movies for younger audiences ("Journey 2: The Mysterious Island"), as well "San Andreas" and the TV series "Frontier."

The movie will be rated PG-13 due to its gore and violence. The movie will be available in 3D and IMAX formats; the nearest IMAX theater is the AMC 20 theater in Tallahassee, Fla.
