President Trump gets added to Hall of Presidents

On Dec. 20, 2017, Disney World reopened its Hall of Presidents with a new addition of President Donald Trump. It is located in the Liberty Square area in the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Fla.

The theater has also made improvements in its sound system and added a new high-projection system. The hall includes presidents such as George Washington, Abraham Lincoln , Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and now Donald Trump.

As visitors enter the theater, they see a recreation of the Independence Hall in Philadelphia and are presented a short film about the history America and its presidents. When the presentation is over, visitors get to listen to “America the Beautiful” as they leave the theater.

Since 1971, Disney World has added presidents, and starting in 1993, presidents have been able to record themselves giving a short speech to be presented by the animatronic versions of themselves in the museum. Bill Clinton was the first president to have his speech recorded and presented in the theater.

President Trump’s animatronic was introduced by George Washington at the beginning of the presentation. A part of Trump’s speech stated,” From the beginning, America has been a nation defined by its people. At our founding, it was the American people who rose up to defend our freedoms and win our Independence.”
