Tallahassee home destroyed in late night fire
On Nov. 6, 2017, a Tallahassee home was destroyed in a night fire. “The fire broke out just before 11 p.m. at 431 Moonlit Trace,” according to the Tallahassee Fire Department.
The fire was so intense that the fire department couldn’t put the fire out directly. There were too many dangers inside and around the house to take on the house right away. The Tallahassee Fire Department had to change their tactics to put the fire out.
According to WCTV, “One person escaped the home before firefighters arrived at the scene and was treated by Leon County EMS.” Once the fire was under control, the fire department sent fire crews to search the house for any more survivors.
The home was completely destroyed and is a total loss; the damages are estimated at $50,000, according to the Tallahassee Democrat.
The Tallahassee Fire Department is still investigating how the fire started.
