Police hunting for gunman in Maryland shooting

On the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, a shooting in Edgewood, Md., left three dead and two injured. The shooting took place at a workplace in an industrial park northeast of Baltimore. According to the Hartford County Sheriff’s Office, this incident happened at Advanced Granite Solutions at the Emmorton Business Park in Edgewood just before 9 a.m.

The suspect was identified to be a 37-year-old man named Radee Labeed Prince. Major William Davis informed CBS News that police are still searching for Prince and suspect he is armed. “There’s an individual out there on the loose who committed one of the most heinous acts we’ve ever seen in our county. Certainly we consider him armed and dangerous,” Davis said in a statement. Police also mentioned that Prince is believed to be involved in a later shooting that in Wilmington, Del., about 55 miles away.

The five victims who were shot are believed to be employees of the workplace. Hartford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler mentioned to reporters that the two victims who were injured are hospitalized in serious condition. Sheriff Gahler also included that all the victims appeared to have been targeted, and that Prince is connected to the business; however, no one knows how.

According to CBS News, “Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, speaking during a break from a meeting of a state board, said the survivors had gunshot wounds to the head.” Wilmington Police Robert Tracy told CNN that Prince has a lengthy criminal history, with 42 arrests, most of which were probation violations, as well as 15 felony convictions.
