Movie Preview: 'Thor: Ragnarok'

“Thor: Ragnarok” is an upcoming film being released on Nov. 3, 2017. The film is a sequel to the previous film, "Thor: Dark World," which was released in 2013.

The film is based on Thor being captured and imprisoned on the other side of the universe. He has to save Asgard, but in order to do so, he has to go up against the Hulk in a gladiatorial fight. Asgard is being attacked by Loki’s sister, Hela.

The main actor in this film is Chis Hemsworth, who has played Thor in the previous films and many other Marvel films. Hela is played by Cate Blanchett in this film, and Tom Hiddleston returns to play Loki.

The director of this film is Taiki Waititi, who is a popular director in his home country of New Zealand but is not very well known here in the United States yet. He is best known for directing the screenplay for "Moana" and was also nominated for an Academy Award for his 2004 film "Two Cars, One Night."

The film is not yet rated, but according to IMDb, “Expected MPAA rating: PG-13 for intense sci-fi action and violence.”
