Woman arrested after child found in hot car outside Disney Resort
On Sept. 25, 2017, 37-year-old Myriam Lubin Cadet was accused of leaving a two-year-old child in a hot car. The child was later found in the parking lot of the Disney’s Floridian Resort & Spa and taken to the Florida Hospital Celebration Health in stable condition, according to WFTV.
Later that afternoon, security found the child and removed it from the car. According to WCTV and WFTV, officers said, “The windows were down a few inches and the car was off,” but the inside of the car had reached a temperature of 114 to 115 degrees. The child had been in the car for about 50 minutes.
According to WCTV, “Lubin Cadet left work and picked up the girl near SeaWorld before returning to work, where she left the girl alone in the car." Lubin had been asked by a friend or family member to watch the girl, whose mother was going into labor, according to WCTV.
“Investigators said Lubin Cadet confessed she left the child in the car” and was taken in to custody for child neglect. She was later was released from jail on bond, according to WFTV.
According to WFTV, the father says, “Everything is going well now, she’s jumping around. She’s very happy and healthy.”
