Food Review: Hardee's Cajun Chicken Fillet Biscuit

This summer, Hardee’s released a new Cajun Chicken Filet Biscuit, which, according to Brand Eating, will only be available for a limited time at participating locations. The location in Cairo has this awesome new biscuit, which is similar to the spicy chicken fillet biscuit which Chick-fil-A biscuit removed from its menu last summer.

As Food Beast points out, "Spicy chicken biscuits are few and far between in the fast food world," which doesn’t leave much of an option of where you can go to get one.

Hardee's new biscuit is just a chicken fillet tossed in Cajun spices and put into a biscuit. It reminds me of a spicier version of Wendy’s Spicy Chicken Sandwich, which isn’t a breakfast item. It is kind of like a fried chicken patty. I paid around $5.30 for the combo meal, but you can get the biscuit for $3.59. It contains 630 calories, 34 grams of fat, and 1,850 mg of sodium, according to Brand Eating.

Although I enjoyed the chicken itself, the biscuit wasn’t all that satisfying. It was kind of dry to me, and by the time I ate the biscuit, I didn’t want my mini hash browns that came with it. I guess if you had a big appetite, you could eat all of it.
