Bold and gold: 72-year-old killed 11 copperheads
A 72-year-old woman from Oklahoma by the name of Mrs. Newby killed 11 copperhead snakes who were seemingly slithering under her residence in Lequire, Okla. Now know as "snake killer," this elderly woman used a shotgun, shovel, and rake handle to rid herself of the pesky serpents.
According to Fox News, Susan Thompson made a Facebook post with the caption "Mrs Newby killed 11 copperheads last night at her house ! She's a snake killer if you need help call her ! She is 72 years old!" which is now deleted. Fox News also reported, "Thompson said her determined neighbor planned to 'sit outside last night and wait for some more' snakes. As of Sunday, 17 snakes have been killed -- and there could be more."
There is no doubt that the people who saw the unorthodox post were impressed with the Mrs. Newby. According to ABC7, one lady commented, "I love Mrs. Newby. Does she need more shells?"
