Mermaid trend goes to food

The mermaid trend is taking over! From mermaid-inspired make up brushes to delicious desserts, you’ll be seeing our fishy friends all around.

The very popular state of California is full of this mermaid frenzy. Plenty of restaurants, such as Crème and Sugar, The Mermaid, and Spudnuts have added mermaid treats to their menus, according to these restaurants' official websites. These magical treats vary from beverages to cupcakes and come in all shapes, sizes, colors and flavors.

A popular bakery called “The Cake Mamas,” which is located in Glendora, Cal., has a unique, new, mermaid cupcake. According to The Culture Trip, the cupcake is “a citrus and sour raspberry-swirled cupcake, frosted with blue raspberry buttercream and topped with a chocolate mermaid tail.”

According to the DailyMail, "The Loop in Southern California is now offering a mermaid churro, which can also be dunked in ice cream with more mermaid decorations." These delicious delights could fill all your seaside fantasies and make your little mermaid dreams come true.

According to Cosmopolitan, Crème and Sugar, which consists of blue Hawaiian lemonade and float of sea-salt cream, "tastes like what you would want the ocean to taste like," Owner and creator Joanna Czikalla told Cosmopolitan.
