North Korea responds to new US bombing drills

On Tuesday, May 1, 2017, the official news agency of North Korea called recent American bomber training drills in the area "provocative and reckless" and said they were "pushing the situation on the Korean peninsula closer to the brink of nuclear war," according to foxnews.com.

The United States has started training drills and, according to time.com, conducted "a nuclear bomb dropping drill against major objects," in response to the rising tensions and in possible preparation for nuclear war with North Korea. The drills came as a result of the new nuclear test conducted by North Korea on Saturday.

Even though the rocket failed shortly after being launched, the United States is taking full precautions. According to foxnews.com, President Trump has said that Communist North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un will eventually develop better missiles: "we can't allow it to happen."

Both the leaders have said they are willing to meet together, but there is no word on whether this meeting will happen.
