Movie Preview: 'Despicable Me 3'

"Despicable Me 3" is will be released in theaters on June 3, 2017. The movie is a child-friendly, animated comedy and a sequel to the last movie in the series, "Despicable Me 2."

In the new film, "Gru meets his twin brother Dru he never knew about," according to imdb.com.

In the previous film, the evil doctor Gru, played by Steve Carell (who is most famously known for his leading role on the television show "The Office"), had to go undercover to spy on an evil villain who turns the minions evil.

There are many other well-known actors and actresses in this movie, such as Kristin Wiig, who is known for her years as a cast member on "Saturday Night Live" and movies such as "Bridesmaids," and Miranda Cosgrove, who is known for "ICarly" and the movie "School of Rock." "South Park" co-creator Trey Parker plays the villain of the movie, "a former ‘80s child star" who "decides to take over the world," according to movie pilot.com.

The film is directed by Pierre Coffin, Kyle Balda, and Eric Gullion. Balda directed the 2012 movie the “Lorax" and worked on earlier films such as "Monsters Inc" and "Jumanji." Pierre co-directed the first two "Despicable Me" films and also voiced the Minions characters, along with his co-director, Chris Renaud.

The film will be rated G and will be available in IMAX 3D and regular formats.
