Close Call For Leon County Deputy

Monday night, March 20, 2017, in Tallahassee FL, an alleged drunk driver hit a patrol car on the Florida State University campus. Luckily the deputy was not in the car at the time and is alive and uninjured.

The officer, Deputy Chris Poole, was helping another driver when a Volkswagen crossed over the median and began coming in their direction. “It was probably the scariest thing of my career," said Deputy Poole.

According to WCTV, the 22-year-old driver, Myles Green, “was arrested and was charged with driving under the influence.” A picture from a Facebook post showed the damage that had been done to the car, which might be totaled.

According to WTXL, “Green also refused to submit to a lawful breath, blood, or urine test.” Both the property damage and DUI citation was estimated at about $20,000. His bond has been set at $1000.
