Netflix Preview: Iron Fist


On March 17, 2017, the Marvel comic book character Iron Fist will make his way to your home on Netflix.

The show will be produced and written by Scott Buck. According to his official Wikipedia page, Scott Buck is known for writing for a wide variety of television shows such Showtime’s crime drama “Dexter,” HBO’s historical drama “Rome,” and even the family sitcom “Everyone Loves Raymond.”

The series “Iron Fist” will be a Martial Arts, Crime, Action fiction, and Mystery series. According to IMDB, the cast of Iron Fist will be Finn Jones, Jessica Henwick, Jessica Stroup, Tom Pelphrey, David Wenham.

Both Finn Jones and Jessica Henwick are known from starring on HBO’s “Game of Thrones.” Finn Jones will be playing the comic book hero and main character, Iron Fist. It looks like there might be a bond of trust and a love building between Iron Fist and Colleen Wing, played by Henwick.

According to The Marvel Encyclopedia, the comic book character Iron Fist is human, but his “supreme mastery of…martial arts and his ‘iron fist’ make him a match for even superhuman opponents.” Additionally, "He can focus his chi (natural energy) into his hand giving him super human strength. This also gives him the durability or healing powers."
