Superbowl 51 Preview

On Sunday, February 5, 2017, the Atlanta Falcons will take on the New England Patriots in Super bowl LI (51), which will be played this year at the NRG Stadium, in Houston, Texas. The broadcast will begin at 6:30 on Fox.

Last weekend, the Falcons overcame their last hurdle on the road to the Super Bowl as they defeated the Green Bay Packers 44-21 in the NFC Championship game; later that evening, the Patriots defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 36-17 in the AFC Championship. This will be the second Super Bowl appearance for Atlanta and the ninth for New England.

In the beginning of the season, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was suspended for four games for deflating the footballs used in games. He did not take any legal action in his own hands. Other than that, Tom Brady has been a good quarterback for the New York Patriots this year. Meanwhile, Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan looks to be a likely MVP of this season. He has 4,944 total yards, and out of those, 304 of them are rushing yards.

Together, Belichick and Brady have put themselves into a record seven Super Bowls, and they made the New England Patriots the NFL's first franchise to play in nine Super Bowls, according to the ESPN Reporters. The coaches say this will be a hard fought game, and both teams are equally deserving of this great prize.

The Halftime show will be headlined by Lady Gaga; she will be performing her new single "Perfect Illusion" off her upcoming fifth studio album “Joanne.”
