Largest Cruise Ship "Harmony of the Seas"
It’ll be one exciting weekend for cruise ship fans. “Harmony of the Seas” finally arrives from Europe. The 226,963-ton Royal Caribbean vessel will pull into Fort Lauderdale, Fla.'s Port Everglades on Saturday for the first time after crossing the Atlantic from Barcelona. Harmony spent an inaugural season sailing out of Barcelona to make its U.S. debut.
Harmony will now start up a permanent schedule of seven-night voyages out of Port Everglades to the Caribbean. The cruise ship is built on the same platform as Royal Caribbean's giant Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas.
Among the many attractions Harmony provides you with, “Ultimate Abyss” has to be the most thrilling feature ever conceived by a cruise ship. The “Ultimate Abyss” is comprised of two swirling slides which drop nine stories from the near top vessel down to one of its lowest decks.
Another interesting fact about the ship is it’s also the first Oasis class ship with a Bionic Bar where the drinks are served by robot bartenders. Its total capacity is 6,780 people, not including crew.
If you’re thinking about planning a vacation, this isdefinitely a contender.
