Is Outlast the Best Horror Series of the 21st Century? We say YES.
What is Outlast? Outlast is a first person survival horror game. The game is about a journalist who is put on a assignment to investigate an abandoned psychiatric hospital. Miles Upshur (the journalist) seems to run into quite a bit of trouble when homicidal patients, insane monsters, and haunted souls (who still roam the halls of the Mount Massive Asylum) start harassing him. While playing this game your mission is to find batteries to keep the camcorder going; you also have to get out safely while still trying to find out the mystery behind such a demented place.
Outlast is rather lengthy game that follows a story in order to understand the campaign.
Whistleblower (the DLC) follows Wayland Park, who is a software engineer at Mount Massive Asylum. Wayland is originally the person who talked Miles into going to the Asylum in the first place through a anonymous email. Why did he go? To expose the corporation from mistreatment of its patients. Whistleblower has images/language not appropriate for anyone under the age of 17.
Outlast 2 takes place in the Arizona desert. Blake Langermann, along with his wife, enter the desert following the murder of a pregnant woman named Jane Doe. Blake and Lynn become separated in a horrible crash. In a hurry to find his wife, he wanders into a very religious part of the county. The Villagers believe everything around them is dying. It's the end of the world as they know it, and they will do whatever it takes possible to keep it from happening, even if that means sacrifices.
Overall review from all 3 games is: The games are a must try deal. They will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time of game play. 1-10? 20. *** Outlast 2 is soon to be released in 2017***
