Movie Preview: Disney's "Moana"

“Moana” is a Disney animated movie film that is coming out in theaters November 23, 2016. The movie draws inspiration from Hawaiian and Pacific history, culture, and mythology.

This movie is about a teenage girl who goes on a journey to save her family. Along the way, Moana meets a demigod, Maui. Maui is a shape-shifter and the god of wind and sea. In the movie, Maui helps and guides Moana in order to become a master "wayfinder." Moana discovers the ancient quest of her ancestors along her journey across the Pacific Ocean, where she and Maui conquer monsters and other impossible odds.

“Zootopia” and “Frozen” were very popular movies, and “Moana” will be directed by the same directors, Ron Clements and John Musker. Maui is voiced by Dwayne Johnson, and Moana is voiced by Auliʻi Cravalho.

The film will be screened in both 2D and 3D.
