China’s longest space mission
The Chinese spaceship Shenzou 11 also called “heavenly vessel”. The rocket launched on October, 17th from Jiuquan satellite launch center in the Gobi desert.
This will be China’s longest crewed up space mission. The official goal is to have a permanent 20-ton space station. This is also expected to be in full orbit in 2022.
China’s reason for making a permanent station is because the international space station retires in 2024.If no other stations are underway china will be the only one with a permanent space station.
China use to be the slowest to the space race, sending its first satellite in late 1970s after America put the first man on the moon. Soon they will be ahead of every other country with the permanent satellite.
