Friday Night Lights: Syrupmakers to Host Tigers Friday Night
It’s that time again. It’s time for the Red and Black Attack.
Friday night, the Cairo High Syrupmakers took on the Carver High Tigers for the first time since 2008. No titles were on the line, but Cairo now has a 5-1 record, and they showed what they could do on Friday.
The players practiced all week leading up to the game, and they showed that hard work pays off. Our state rank is 62, in the region, we are 4-0, and overall we have a 6-1 record. My opinion is that that team is doing very well compared to last year's team.
The boys played hard and had the crowd’s attention the whole time. Friday was also the “Pink Out” game in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness this month.
This Friday, the Syrupmakers travel to Westover High to play the Westover Indians. Many fans are looking forward to this game.
